Sura and Asura or Devtas and Danvas started churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’ with whole enthusiasm and full power.  The hood and mouth side of Naga Vasuki is very broad and grip of Asura, who were doing churning from hood side over Vasuki body, is sliding again and again and they are fed up from this. They stop churning again and looking for a solution. Then king of Asura ‘Bali’ looked at last of his side Asuras line. He saw an old Asura which was once very powerful name ‘Svarbhānu’. Svarbhanu body is long and cylindrical. Soon an idea strikes in the mind of Asura king ‘Bali’.

Bali go near Svarbhanu and said to him with soft and requesting voice, “Svarbhanu, you are old among Asuras but you are very powerful and intelligent. We need your help. You do one thing you surround your body around our side or hood and mouth side of Naga Vasuki. So that we can hold your body which will provide good and stable grip to Asura to do this churning easily”

Svarbhanu replied, “as you desire my king”

Then Svarbhanu surrounded his body around Naga Vasuki’s mouth side area in such manner that it made an easy holding grip for Asuras. Now Asuras were happy and they started again churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’.

Many more days passed. It was early morning time of Brahma muhurta. Suddenly a bitter smell started coming from ocean of milk ‘Kshirasāgara’ and death bodies of many ocean creatures were coming up with each wave. All felt a sharp pain on their heads. Color of ocean started changing from milk color white to cyan then from cyan to blue. Both teams, team of Sura and team of Asura stopped churning. But Naga Vasuki is still rotating over mount Mandara. Whole atmosphere filled with the sharp smell and thin smoke of dark blue color. Fire started burning in the eyes of each one present there. Now thick white color froth started appearing at the edges of mount Mandara.

All Sura and Asura were losing their senses with each passing moment. Brahma was also worried over this condition and felt of essence of poison in air and liquid of ocean.

Bali with other Asuras started doing prayer of Lord Shiva and start saying loudly, “O! Mahakaal, please save us we are dying “

Other hand Sura are doing prayer of Lord Vishnu.

When all Sura and Asura were about to lose their whole consciousness, they saw dark blue color thick foam is collected near outline of mount Mandara and around body of Naga ‘Vasuki’.

Lord Vishnu and Shiva appear simultaneously there. Lord Vishnu do flow of prana towards Sura and Asura and then they start breathing normally again. Then Indra said, “O! great God this venom or poison is because of Vasuki Naga, which is ornament of Lord shiv so now Lord Shiva has to do something to end this position”

Lord Vishnu says, “what are you saying. Lord Shiva is saving all of us from deadly poison of Vasuki from ages because he keeps holding Vasuki around his neck. Venom of Vasuki is outcome of physical negativity of people over earth. And it is growing with each passing moment. Because of Lord Shiva all people of earth were saved from the disaster of Vasuki venom. Now only on the request of Sura and Asura, Lord Shiva is ready to give you Vasuki Naga to make churning of great ocean possible. It is law of karma that nothing come free. You all are doing this churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’ to get many different valuable objects and things. And you are blaming to Lord of all, Shiva”

 ☆ Weekly Column – Samudramanthanam – 7 Finally Start ☆

Finally, the holy day of Makar Sankarnti came when actual churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’ started. The tortoise incarnation of Vishnu has held all the burden of churning which was taken place for good of universe. Motion of mount Mandara is in compete cyclic, once Sura pull the tail of Vasuki towards them, then Asura pull the mouth of Vasuki towards them. Clockwise then anti clockwise rotation was going on. All the demigods participated from the side of Sura. All the negative or tamas dominating creatures were helping Bali the king of Asura. All the great sage, Brahma etc. we’re watching this great churning of good and bad or sattwa and tamas.    ‘Kshirasāgara’ creature were restlessly moving here and there. Birds from sky throwing flowers over heroes of this activity.

After 10 days of churning a conch is blow, and all the Suras and Asura stop and their position was taken by other Sura and Asuras who were doing rest at that time. The first team came across and sat for food which was prepared by wives of rishis.

Some Rakshasa and Asura were not agree to eat this sattvic food. But it was demand of situation and order of their king Bali. So, they ate that sattvic food.

Before starting the fresh spell of churning by new and full of energy team members the food for Vasuki Naga also given.

On the Auspicious day of Basant Panchmi, churning started again. It was going on and on and on. On the day of Holi Bali ask from Brahma, “pram pita father of all nothing is happening and no output is visible. Are we doing something wrong? Can we have to replace our position with Sura?”

Then Varuna said, “great king of Sura, I am god of all types of oceans. When we start churning of anything in starting it will take time and also in starting negative or bad things appears before any gems. It not depends that either that churning is churning of milk or our own thoughts or of ocean. I can see that soon first outcome of this ocean churning is about to come”

Then all took deep breath of relax.

Vasuki roles itself around mount Mandara and then slide his mouth side up in the sky. He makes seven turns around mount Mandara. And start sliding his body over it. From this sliding many new types of herbs start nurturing from the skin of mount Mandara which was the combine effect of Vasuki venom and minerals of mountain surface.

Vauski has made a bend shape from his hood side so that Asuras can easily hold him and his mouth remains open towards sky.

As Indra and other Sura approach towards tail side of Vasuki, they saw many birds start falling from sky and die.

Narada said, “Narayana, Narayana, these birds are dying because now venom of Vasuki is going towards sky with the flow of air. King of Devta Indra now you can only help. You throw your vajra in the sky and other god will create clouds over Vasuki mouth. When your vajra will collide with those clouds soon rain start falling and essence of Vasuki venom fall down here in this ‘Kshirasāgara’”

Indra and other demigods start doing same and rain mixed with poison start falling in ‘Kshirasāgara’. It was rain which keep falling for two years.

After around two years when all the venom of Vasuki was left his body and mixed in ocean of ‘Kshir’ Sura and Asura are ready to do churning of great ocean.

Sura are holding tail side of Vasuki and Asura the mouth side. They start pushing and pulling of Vasuki body. First Asura pull Vasuki body towards them and Sura push it away from them but before completing the first round of push and pull, mount Mandara slide at the base of ‘Kshirasāgara’ because of it the body of Vasuki start slipping over mount Mandara surface, which create heave jerk on the body of Vasuki and it start going away from center from Asura side where it was surrounding on mount Mandara and suddenly come close to mount Mandara and Sura king ‘Indra’ collide with Mandara surface with great force. Crown of Indra fall down in ‘Kshirasāgara’. Which then reappear as the wild ocean plant called ‘Indrajaal’.

At the other end Bali fall over ‘Kshirasāgara’, but many other Asuras start flaying away with great force from that location and then some fall over Himalayas other on ground and lost their life.

Then Lord Brahma said, “we have forgotten to make base over which mount Mandara can be fixed because base of ‘Kshirasāgara’ is very wild and not gentle”

Soon a light blink on space and Lord Vishnu appear.

All do salute to Lord Vishnu. Then Lord Vishnu says, “base is required to hold anything strongly. I will be going to incarnate as a kashyap or tortoise, who contains strongest back in nature. Then mount Mandara need to fix his bottom over my tortoise incarnation back and it will keep holding the mount Mandara even at the time of heavy movement during churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’.

Soon a light emerges from the body of Lord Vishnu and a shape of tortillas start appearing from that light.

All Sura and Asura surround tortoise, and mount Mandara base kept over tortoise back. Just for test Naga ‘Vasuki’ loop around mount Mandara and gives a quick jerk but as this jerk reaches at the bottom of mount Mandara soon its balance disturbed and it slide towards one end and fall in ‘Kshirasāgara’.

Again, all are silence and thinking, how to fixed mount Mandara on the back of Lord Vishnu’s tortoise incarnation.

Sage kashyapa says, “the back of this Vishnu tortoise is very flat and slippery. So, we have to make it rough so that mount Mandara back can fixed over it strongly.

Saptrishi join there and makes seven holy patters and symbols over the back of tortoise. One by each rishi.

So finally, all things are perfect to start churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’.

 ☆ Weekly Column – Samudramanthanam – 5  Preparation ☆

Brahma said,” main point of discussion here is who is such a powerful in the universe that can be rope to churn such a divine ocean?

Bali said, “my dear father, Brahma, Naga loka is one of realm of underworld which comes under my rules. So, I can make a good long rope of different Nagas, serpents for churning of that ocean of milk”

Brahma reply, “my dear son, the flow and speed of ‘Kshirasāgara’ is not gentle. It can kill all of your Nagas which you are planning to use as and churning rope”

Indra said, “why not we ask help of Lord Vishnu himself might be Adi SesNaga can help us for this churning”

Brahma said again, “Adi has thousand hoods at one side. How can any team either Sura or Asura will hold that end in their hands to implement force to churn ocean? And second thing is Adi sesaNaga itself live in ‘Kshirasāgara’.  Adi sesa make waves of ‘Kshirasāgara’ so gentle so that life can sustain easily on universe. If he changes his position or stand up from his current posture than whole flow of ‘Kshirasāgara’ disturbed so badly that no one can save this universe. So, we even can’t imagine to involve Adi sesa in this activity”

Everyone is silent after sometime Varuna said, “we have an idea, why not we go to Lord Shiva and request him to give King of Naga ‘Vasuki’ to use as a churning rope for our ‘Kshirasāgara’ churning. ‘Vasuki’ is second powerful after Adi sesa and have all the qualities to hold the force of churning and ‘Kshirasāgara’. His body is as strong as Indra vajra”

All including Lord Brahma said,” yes, it is very good idea.”

Before anyone say anything, a light is appeared in space and soon Lord Shiva appears in front of all and then said to Lord Brahma, “Brahma this churning is for good of Suras and Asura and suggested by Lord Vishnu himself. So ‘Vasuki’ will definitely help in this historical activity”

After this Shiva disappear in space.

Lord Brahma said, “one problem got its solution but other is still there. You got churning rope but who will be work as churning rod to hold that churning rope?”

Narada muni come with chanting of ‘Narayana Narayana’ he said, who is stronger and firmer than ‘mount Mandara’. He is good candidate to hold the pressure and looseness and tightness of Naga Vasuki body holding and move by Sura and Asura?”

Mount Mandara agree easily to do help of Sura and Asura for churning of ‘Kshirasāgara’ ocean.

Then Brahma said, “Vasuki represent tamas or dark force of nature and so the Asura so I think it will be more comfortable for Asura to hold mouth side of ‘Vasuki’”

Bali said with folded hand towards Brahma, “as you suggest”

All preparation was done both the teams of Sura and Asura have come across ‘Kshirasāgara’ to do the task which was never happened before and will not happen again. First time Sura and Asura are looking so cooperative, but I think that is because they both have some hidden reason to fulfill their long pending desires.

Naga Vasuki and mount Mandara also on time. The sound of hiss of Vasuki is so instance that sharper pain is started in the foreheads of almost all the Suras or Devtas.

Lord Brahma said to Vasuki, “O! great among Nagas, the sound of your hiss making uncomfortable to many Sura so please reduce the pitch of your hiss sound so that the activity will start”

Vasuki said, “Ok”

Then he reduced the sound of his hiss. As many Sura and Asura come across Vasuki Naga mouth, the air which was generating from the force of his hiss throw them away in space. All were in panic.

Then it is decided that Vasuki will keep his mouth and hood in a vertical position towards sky for around 100 yojanas. This trick start working and now all the toxins and air which was coming out from the mouth of Vasuki is start going up in the sky.

Once there is a disagreement between Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva was not agreed that all the command of universe is given in the hands of Devtas and appoint Indra as king of heaven. Shiva didn’t do any prejudice between Devtas and Danvas. But this partiality by Brahma make Shiva angry. Shiva has decided that not to take participate on world affairs but anger start to appear around him in his aura. So finally, he decided to transfer his anger in tangible form and planned to transfer his anger to Anasuya, the wife of sage Atri. From this portion of Shiva deposited into Anasuya, a child was born, who was named ‘Durvasa’ (lit. one who is difficult to live with). Because he was born of Shiva’s anger, he had an irascible nature.

One fine day when ‘Durvasa’ doing meditation with his closed eyes. A garland was fall from heaven from the hands of an apsara, nymph and hold on the branch of one tree. Very sweet smell starts flowing all around from the flowers of that garland. All people near that area start losing their senses.

That garland falls in the neck of sage ‘Durvasa’ from that tree. He wore it on his brow. Resuming his wanderings, the sage came across Indra riding his elephant, Airavata, attended by the gods. Durvasa, still in his state of frenzy, threw the garland at Indra, who caught it and placed it on Airavata’s head. The elephant was irritated by the fragrance of the nectar in the flowers, so it threw the garland to the ground with its trunk. Durvasa was enraged to see his gift treated so callously and cursed Indra that he would be cast down from his position of dominion over the three worlds, just as the garland was cast down. Indra immediately begged Durvasa’s forgiveness, but the sage refused to retract or even soften his curse and went on his way. Because of the curse, Indra and the devas were diminished in strength and shorn of their luster. From this wife of Indra ‘Sachi’ who was the incarnation of goddess Lakshmi turns into statue of rock. the “Airavata’ also go deep in to ocean of Milk ‘Kshirasāgara’ and all the good and auspiciousness of Devtas lost as the reaction of this action.

Great sages suggest Indra and other Devtas to do a great scarify to get grace of goddess Lakshmi again on heaven and in the life of all Suras.

Many great sages gathered at the bank of river Sarasvati to do this yajna, scarify for Devtas. Bhrigu was arrogant and was filled with ahamkara Ego, due to his extreme austerities. At the time of yajna all the great saints and sages could not decide that out of the Trinity Lord Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva to whom should they offer Pradhanta (Master) of that Yagya and to whom they have to scarify yajnas oblation. With the consent of all the great saints presents there, it was decided that Bhrigu will test and decide who was pre-eminent.

Upon being entrusted with the task Maharishi Bhrigu decided to test each of the Trimurti. Being ignored by Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva, he visited Lord Vishnu. Vishnu was asleep and Brighu kicked him in the chest to wake him up. Vishnu smilingly welcomed Bhrigu who realized his egotistical outbursts with extreme pain. He begged for forgiveness and Vishnu forgave him.

But from this action Wife of Lord Vishnu Goddess ‘Lakshmi’ got very upset and decided to future shrink her grace even from the life of sages and other living creatures of universe.

World without Lakshmi is more than horrible. All bad omen and actions are happening all around.

Seizing this opportunity, the Asuras led by Bali waged war against the gods. The gods were routed and turned to Lord Brahma for help. Lord Brahma directed them to seek refuge with Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu in turn, advised them to call a truce with the Asuras and work together with them to churn the ocean of milk and obtain the Amrita (nectar of immortality), on the pretext of sharing it with them. Lord Vishnu promised that he would ensure only the devas drank the Nectar and re obtain their former power so they could once again defeat the Asuras.

☆ Weekly Column – Samudramanthanam -2  Creation of different creature☆

Lord Vishnu was disappeared and Lord Brahma was sitting over white lotus alone. The lotus was coming out from the sea of milk or “Kshirasāgara”.

After some time, a sound breaks the concentration of Lord Brahma. He opens his eyes and saw in front of him four kids of age around five years were standing. They salute to Lord Brahma and said,” paranam, salute to our father”

Lord Brahma said with little bizarre look, “who four are you? You all are looking very innocent kids? Please let me know where you have come?”

One from those four little boys said, “O! Brahma we are generated from your mind and, so we are your manasputra, “mind born sons”. We are ‘Kumars’ (ku means ‘who’ and ‘mar’ means ‘kill’, so kumar means who can kill him? means no one. So kumars are death-less). Our names are Sanaka (ancient), Sanandana (blissful), Sanatana (Eternal) and Sanat (Lord Brahma, eternal, accompanied by a protector). Now please tell us why you have created us and what we have to do now?”

Lord Brahma said, “O! my manasputras, I have created all four of you on the command of Lord Vishnu and he is given us a task to create universe. I want you to help me to create universe.”

After listing name of Lord Vishnu all four kumars eyes closed from joy and peace and they start chanting name of Lord Vishnu. After sometimes one of kumars Sanaka said to Lord Brahma,” Our father, what a beautiful world you have given to us ‘Vishnu’ the sound of Vishnu makes us joyful. From now on wards we will chant only name of Vishnu and will do nothing”

Lord Brahma said, “my sons yes you can chant that name but before that you have to help me to create different creatures and natural entities”

Then Sanatana said, “But we don’t know anything except the name of Lord Vishnu. We are yours mind born sons and now our mind is occupied with Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is not originator he is only ever presence preserver. Nothing is coming in our mind except name and properties of Lord Vishnu. So, from now onwards we will remain as it is and chant only name of Lord Vishnu till eternity”

Then Sanandana said,” Oh! father at the time when you were thinking about our image to create us. Your focus was only on Lord Vishnu. So, we have born with the essence of Lord Vishnu having properties of Lord Vishnu only. If you have to create sons who can help you to create universe you should have to think and concentrate on those properties which are required to create different parts of nature and universe, than output of that meditation will defiantly be sons who know and help you to create universe.

Then, those four kumars, started flying in space and left the Lord Brahma alone again.

English Literature – Article – ☆ Struggle for Happiness ☆– Shri Divyanshu Shekhar

Shri Divyanshu Shekhar

(Young author Shri Divyanshu Shekhar writes poems, stories, plays and scripts in Hindi and English. His first collection of poems  “Zindagi – ek chalchitra” was published in May 2017 and first English Novel “Too Close – Too Far” in December 2018. Today we present his article “Be Mental but don’t be Judgmental. The article is a thorough study and  research work done by young author Mr Divyanshu on the contemporary incidents. )

☆ Be Mental but don’t be Judgmental☆

The suicidal death news of a great actor Sushant Singh Rajput jolted all of us. It is still hard to believe but unfortunately, it happened. He was a well-known celebrity and his death got limelight and suddenly we all started talking about “Mental Health”. But it’s not a new topic, it is just an ignored topic in our society. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), each year approximately one million people die by suicide worldwide every year, of these 135,000 are residents of India. Globally mortality rate is of one death every 40 seconds but there are lots of unreported and hidden cases that will exacerbate our count estimation problem. It is predicted that by 2020 the rate of death will increase to one every 20 seconds which is really scary.

But why things are getting worse?

Why talking about Mental health is still a taboo in our society? Why Brain is not treated like other body parts? Why visiting a Psychiatrist doesn’t create such empathy like other medical issues? Why showing off is more important than actual ground reality? Why people are giving up on struggle and becoming obsessed with results? Why our expectations are becoming so calculative and materialistic?

Why showing off happiness is more important than being happy? Why expressing true emotions and sharing feelings become so difficult? Why we are living various characters parallel? And there are lots of other questions too and we have to work on that. We can’t deny the fact that our continued ignorance of this topic is responsible for the current situation. Now it’s time to talk, listen, understand, and act otherwise we will go through lots of unbearable losses.

First, we have to understand what is Mental health?

Mental health refers to our emotional and psychological well-being. Having good mental health helps us lead a relatively happy and healthy life. It helps us demonstrate resilience and the ability to cope in the face of life’s adversities. Mental health can affect daily living, relationships, and physical health.

Strong mental health isn’t just the absence of mental health problems. Being mentally or emotionally healthy is much more than being free of depression, anxiety, or other psychological issues. Rather than the absence of mental illness, mental health refers to the presence of positive characteristics. Our mental health can be influenced by a variety of factors, including life events or even our genetics.

When we talk about health then we should also talk about related illnesses.

Mental illness, also called mental health disorders, refers to a wide range of mental health conditions – disorders that affect your mood, thinking, and behavior. Examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and addictive behaviors. We have to understand that anyone can suffer from mental or emotional health problems and over a lifetime most of us will. Everyone has some risk of developing a mental health disorder, no matter their age, sex, income, or ethnicity. Social and financial circumstances, biological factors, and lifestyle choices can all shape a person’s mental health.

Now let’s take a look at some statistics which might give you goosebumps.

One in four people in the world gets affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Around 450 million people currently suffer from such conditions, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of ill-health and disability worldwide. Half of all mental disorders begin by age 14 and three-quarters by age 24. The worst part, that up to 90 percent of suicide deaths result from underlying mental and substance use disorders.

Yet despite how common mental health problems are, many of us make no effort to improve our situation. We don’t want to struggle, we ignore the emotional messages that tell us something is wrong and try it out by distracting ourselves or self-medicating with alcohol, drugs, or self-destructive behaviors. We bottle up our problems in the hope that others won’t notice. We hope that our situation will eventually improve on its own or we simply give up.

Treatments are available, but nearly two-thirds of people with a known mental disorder never seek help from a health professional. Stigma, discrimination, and neglect prevent care and treatment from reaching people with mental disorders, says the World Health Organization (WHO). Where there is neglect, there is little or no understanding. Where there is no understanding, there is neglect.

But why people try to hide these problems? Actually, they are scared of sharing mental problems because our society has wrong and judgmental views towards mental illness. They feel a lack of confidence and faith to share their true emotions and feelings. But we need to be honest and loyal to ourselves. Until we won’t love and consider ourselves as our priority, no-one else will. I think we shouldn’t feel guilty for being mentally ill, we should feel guilty for being judgmental.

Everyone has their own perspectives and struggle stories. Right and Wrong are manipulative words because their definitions vary from person to person and according to the scenarios. So, we should not impose our set of beliefs on others. Instead, we should make ourselves worthy of someone’s faith and to understand their concerns. Healthy communications and kind actions make the mind and problems light and we should work on that. Our collaborative and positive efforts will overcome these problems.

Now, what should be the correct treatment for the diagnosed people?

As I said earlier first we need to understand and treat this illness like other medical problems. It means these problems should be recognized and then patients should go for the right treatment.

One important point we need to understand that treatment for mental health disorders is not one size fits all, and it does not offer a cure. Instead, treatment aims to reduce symptoms, address underlying causes, and make the condition manageable. You and your doctor will work together to find a plan. It may be a combination of treatments because some people have better results with a multi-angle approach. The most common mental health treatments are Medications and Psychotherapy.

Now the question is when it might happen with anyone at any stage of life. So how can we boost our mental health or I can say what can we do for better mental immunity?

Mental illness is not a personal failure. This huge burden of mental, behavioral, and substance use disorders, in our society, calls for the immediate attention of political leaders, policymakers, health professionals, opinion-makers, and people at large. Most significantly, mental health should be given higher priority in the developmental agenda. All policies and programs in health and all related sectors of welfare, education, employment and other programs should include and integrate mental health agenda in their policies, plans, and programs.

And as an individual, we should find purpose and meaning in life. Everyone derives meaning and purpose in different ways that involve benefiting others, as well as themselves. We may think of it as a way to feel needed, feel good about ourselves, a purpose that drives us on, or simply a reason to get out of bed in the morning. In biological terms, finding meaning and purpose is essential to brain health as it can help generate new cells and create new neural pathways in the brain. It can also strengthen our immune system, alleviate pain, relieve stress, and keep us motivated to pursue the other steps to improve mental and emotional health.

Obviously, “Responsibility” is a great word which keeps us going even sometimes without our full intentions but we have to keep balance in our life. Take care of yourself and your loved ones and do some crazy things, which makes you happy. Enjoy the moments at the fullest and release the pressure from your mind and heart. We can never find peace of mind until we listen to our hearts. “Happiness” is the most lovable word in this World. Everyone has a desire to be happy but deep inside we all know that in this running world emptiness is winning the race with happiness. But why?

Freedom is the secret of happiness but we are in a race that is decided by others and according to their expectations and perceptions. We are trying to live and show a standard that is set by someone else.

The day we will understand that success and happiness have no specific standards. The day we will start living life like a journey, not like a destination, most of the problems will be automatically resolved.

But remember one thing happiness is not something ready-made we have to earn it. Struggling is essential to happiness because of the lessons learned and how certain aspects of it serves its purpose. Without a little struggle throughout life, we would have never known better choices and we would never have found true happiness.

But we don’t have to feel bad. There are practices we can adopt to elevate our mood, become more resilient, and enjoy life more. But just as it requires effort to build and maintain physical health, so it is with mental health. We have to work harder these days to ensure strong mental health, simply because there are so many ways that life takes a toll on our emotional well-being and we have to face all those situations wisely and bravely.

☆ Struggle for Happiness ☆

It was a beautiful Sunday morning.

It was drizzling outside. A man was sitting in his balcony with his cup of hot coffee and enjoying the weather.

Suddenly, he saw few people are working in front of a temporary house to make a strong base of a new building and his romantic thoughts and expressions started changing.

But why? And which kinds of emotions, he felt later? Scare or Happiness? Empathy or Proud? or anything else?

He felt empathy with them. He is also a migrant like them, who change places to earn money for their responsibilities. He lives in a well-structured and furnished flat with all the luxurious things and they are living in a temporary house where few bricks are removed from the wall for ventilation, no electricity, and without any modern facilities.

He felt surprised because he is an engineer but he never went in a workshop without proper safety measure but they are cutting steel bars without any precautions and even without any hesitation.

He felt happy in his flat because he has a fear of snakes but they are living in such an area where there are high chances of getting those reptiles. He follows a healthy diet for his good health but they eat what they get. He does exercises daily but they have no time for practicing Yoga and lifting weights during workouts. They just do physical work for the whole day as part of their job irrespective of weather.

He felt jealous because even without such luxury and relaxation, their sleep is deeper and their smiles are wider with whom he always struggles. They have better physical strength and brave heart.

Someone said correctly that “It is the great privilege of poverty to be happy and yet unenvied, to be healthy with physic, secure without a guard, and to obtain from the bounty of nature what the great and wealthy are compelled to procure by the help of art”.

He felt scared by keeping himself in their positions. It’s a bitter truth that we all have grown literally afraid to be poor. Even we despise anyone who elects to be poor in order to simplify and save his inner life and maintain peace. If he does not join the general scramble and pant with the money-making street, we deem him spiritless and lacking in ambition.

He knows all the facts and at last, he stood up and went inside his room. He felt thankful to God and proud of his parents because he knows his current situation and comfort in this tough world is a precious gift and outcome of their parents’ struggle, and he has to maintain this tradition.
