Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi —an ex Naval Officer, possesses a multifaceted personality. He served as a Senior Advisor in prestigious Supercomputer organisation C-DAC, Pune. He was involved in various Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing projects of national and international repute. He has got a long experience in the field of ‘Natural Language Processing’, especially, in the domain of Machine Translation. He has taken the mantle of translating the timeless beauties of Indian literature upon himself so that it reaches across the globe. He has also undertaken translation work for Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, which was highly appreciated by him. He is also a member of ‘Bombay Film Writer Association’.

Captain Raghuvanshi is also a littérateur par excellence. He is a prolific writer, poet and ‘Shayar’ himself and participates in literature fests and ‘Mushayaras’. खुदा की महफिल में,

मौसिकी का खज़ाना है

जो पहुंचा ज़मीन से जन्नत में…

 

There must a great festivity

in the God’s gathering today…

Treasure of music has just

arrived in heaven from the Earth.

 

 

कितना दुश्वार है…

यूँ ज़िंदगी बसर करना

तुम्हीं से फासला रखना

और तुम्हीं से इश्क़ करना…!

 

How difficult it is

to live life like this…

To keep distance from you

and love you too…!

 

 

न एक सांस ज़्यादा

न एक साँस कम,

फिर काहे की फिक्र

और काहे का ग़म

 

Neither a breath more

nor a breath less,

Then why to worry

and why to feel sad…!

 

पहले परिंदों के शोर हुआ करते थे

अब तो बस दबे पाँव शाम होती है

बहारों में भी खिंजा का गुमाँ होता है

ज़िंदगी यूँही तमाम हुए जाती हैं… 

 

Earlier there used to be boisterous chirping of birds

Now it’s just inane turning of dusk into night

Even the blooming spring gives a feel of autumn

He has also undertaken translation work for Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, which was highly appreciated by him. He is also a member of ‘Bombay Film Writer Association’.

Captain Raghuvanshi is also a littérateur par excellence. He is a prolific writer, poet and ‘Shayar’ himself and participates in literature fests and ‘Mushayaras’. He keeps participating in various language & literature fests, symposiums and workshops etc. Recently, he played an active role in the ‘International Hindi Conference’ at New Delhi.  He presided over the “Session Focused on Language and Translation” and also presented a research paper.  The conference was organized by Delhi University in collaboration with New York University and Columbia University.

memories begin to heal,

Then, on some pretext I

start remembering you!

कुछ इस अदा से तोड़े हैं

ताल्लुक़ उसने कि…

एक अरसे से तलाश रहा हूँ

गुनाह  अपने…!

 

In such a manner she

broke the relationship

That ever since I’ve been

looking for my fault..!

सुना है आज समंदर को

बड़ा  गुमान  आया  है

यूँ  इंतज़ार  करना

तो हमे आता नहीं,

पर  जब  बात  किसी

अपने  की  हो तो

इंतज़ार  लफ्ज़  ही कुछ

मदहोश  सा लगता है…

 

Albeit, never did I

learn  to  wait…

But when it comes to

waiting for the loved one

The  word  ‘wait’  itself    

seems so intoxicating..!

कुछ नहीं बदला

दीवाने थे,

दीवाने ही रहे…

 

हम नए शहरों में

O Lord, do bless my friends

with the wealth of pain….

Any injustice done to them

Is not acceptable to me….!
