☆ Stairs ☆
Generations keep
coming and going…
Stairs of age
are simply magical
As the next step is seen
the previous one
instantly disappears,
Constant potential of the
visual delight of the mount,
Wipes out the
unknown fear of the descent…
When I start loosing
the breath
Dark fathomless bottom below
starts to loom large,
When legs start
shaking up and
Not even an
iota of courage
is left in me,
Even body starts giving
up on walking…
But, the thirst and
hunger continue
to camp tormently,
Before that,
O’ Lord, the Granter of
the moments of life!
Grant me the departure
of my soul
And, adjust the
remaining steps of the stairs
in my next life…
I’ve always lived
the life my way,
Let me even die
my way only,
Before I become
dependent on someone
Please call me to
Your goodself !
