Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi, NM
(Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi—an ex Naval Officer, possesses a multifaceted personality. Presently, he is serving as Senior Advisor in prestigious Supercomputer organisation C-DAC, Pune. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad is involved in various Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing projects of national and international repute. He has got a long experience in the field of ‘Natural Language Processing’, especially, in the domain of Machine Translation. He has taken the mantle of translating the timeless beauties of Indian literature upon himself so that it reaches across the globe. He has also undertaken translation work for Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, which was highly appreciated by him. He is also a member of ‘Bombay Film Writer Association’.)
We present his mesmerizing poem “Eternal Silence…”. We also present the Hindi version of this poem चिरशांति… translated by himself.

Pen broke free, yet again…!
☆ Eternal Silence… ☆
Meaningful intent of life,
Epicenter of battle for the existence
What is the explanation thereof,
What is the complementarity…
But, yet again
the same perennial
silence only…
Escape from the truth,
Rules of foreordination,
Proximity to the destination,
Encounter with the rigours of destiny…
Accounts of the Karmas,
Desire of the deathlessness, immortality or eternity…
The cycle of ‘Birth-and-Death’
Or merging with the finality…
Infiniteness of the universe
Unanswered questions
yet again,
The same eternal
silence…!

क्या है जीवन की सार्थकता
क्या है अस्तित्व का महासंग्राम
क्या है इसका स्पष्टीकरण
क्या है इसकी पूरकता
परंतु निरंतर मिलती है
निरुत्तरता ही निरुत्तरता…
सत्य से पलायन सम्भव नहीं
प्रारब्ध के नियम रहते सतत गतिमान
गंतव्य की निकटता हो
या नियति से भेंट,
परंतु यहाँ भी वही अवरोध:
कर्मफलों का लेखा-जोखा
फिर भी निरंतर चाह
अजरता, अमरता और अमृत्व की…
चिरकालिक प्रश्न:
जन्म-मृत्यु चक्र का फेर
या सम्पूर्णता में विलीनता
या ब्रह्मांड की अनंतता
रहते हमेशा ही अनुत्तरित…
चाहे कितना भी रहो प्रयासरत
अंततः
फिर वही चिरशांति…
