☆ Caged Willpower ☆
Within the walls of cage
my wings flutter viciously,
Cravingly, seeing the open sky
they conflict with each other,
as they get grisly afflicted…
I tear up my wings yet again
Turn my helplessness
into rage,
I shout and yell
Kept looking at ajar blue sky,
Exhausted, I surrender again
Feel shattered with
my compromised routine,
Resign to my futility…
I’m not sad because of captivity
But, to lose myself to myself
Coz, I only have chosen the cage
Though, scared of soaring heights of sky,
But, weary of captivity,
I too want to touch the sky
Knowing well that both together
Was neither possible
nor will it ever be
I wear out in dilemma…
Seeing the inviting open sky
I pledge to fight the cage
But, glancing at the bread in cage,
I fold back the wings
And, never attempt to fly again…
Eternal question remains unanswered
Who has imprisoned whom?
