☆ Common Man… ☆ Hemant Bawankar ☆
‘Time’
heals
big wounds.
Today,
RK Laxman’s
symbol of a “common man”
stands watching
speechless
in Symbiosis campus
passing through
the cycle of time.
Searching its existence
in the aging cartoons
on which
settling,
the dust of time.
Whether
like the other cartoon characters
in the world,
his fate
was limited
up to this?
Up to his
creator’s journey
to heaven?
No …. No.
He wriggles everyday
when falls on him
first rays of the sun
to
the last rays of the sun
and
all night in the pitch-black darkness.
He is eager
for lodging
his presence
in
current topics
socio-political scenario
national and international scenario
the relevant compositions
in cartoons
in poems
in satire
and even in occasional columns
as always
only by staying neutral
like a ‘common man’
One says
‘time’
heals
big wounds.
