Neither did atrocities of time cease

 Nor  did   the  world  ever  erode

When  the  trees  withered  away,

The birds too changed their abode

* 

Wind whispers many  a mystic secrets

The earth  laments, with  sorrow  deep

As petals fall and the flowers grow pale

The old wounds lay in anguished sleep

 * 

The sky grows dark, with shadows overcast

Stars hide, with meagre hope being forecast

The world awakens  to the shrieks  of  pain

As love and joy, vanish in darkness wane

 *

Yet, in  this  desolate  landscape,  we stand

Broken, bruised, but are still holding hands

For in the darkness, a glimmer light remains

A beacon of hope, that still bravely sustains

In wealth’s grand palace, with comforts abound,

A restless heart still wanders, lost and  unfound

* 

Like bedbugs in the sheets, as our deepest fears,

Bite through the night, as worst horror appears

 *

As we gather riches, and keep adorning our nest,

Yet the inner demons still refuse to peacefully rest.

 *

 Whispers of our soul, reverberate as troubled sea,

Reflect the  turmoil and pain  that we cannot flee.

* 

True peace, a  fleeting dream, we chase in vain

Until we face the shadows that we have gained.

 *

The bedbugs of our mind, cause a festering sore

They must be confronted, and cast out, evermore.

 *

In the self-reflection’s true mirror, we must gaze,

And confront the darkness  that  we  must erase

 *

So let  us embark on  this  soulful  inward quest

To calm the storms, and relax in our peaceful nest

pain in individual suffering,

You’ll automatically start writing

on your own, without any effort!

You may hide in a cool dungeon,

and name it dark – comfort

You may drape the cold in mesmeric words

But I call it an illusion…

You paint your face with

vanity and pretence

The Sun spares no paint

it melts the mask

Never do I seek shade

I stand where the

scorching Sun burns

Vertical

Blinding

Mercilessly

Under a ruthless Sun,

no lie ever survives

Only you remain raw,

unvarnished,

as naked truth…

At first

there was only a spark

unburdened by yesterday

with no looming shadows

of the past…

 

Then we drew closer

wrapped in an unspoken intimacy

Expectations arrived

as though ordained by destiny

 

They failed

And in their wake

discords quietly

bloomed between us

Until silence

became

the language

of our conversations

 

The world

with its silent certainty

stole the wild joy

We believed

love would preserve

but in vain…

 

Then came

the quiet revelation

Perhaps

remaining strangers

is a rare blessing

 

For strangers are free

to dream

without disillusion

to admire

without expectation

and to preserve forever

the euphoria

that familiarity

so often steals…!

I squandered all the riches

of love upon you, my beloved

Until I became a stranger within

the chambers of my own heart

 *

How curious is the covenant

of these fleeting encounters

I never knew when your city

became my only home

 *

I drifted on, wearing the visage of

water, to the melody of stream

Then, with a single leap of the tide,

I became the ocean itself

 *

Love reshaped the very

fabric of my being

I embraced the night, only to

awaken as your dawn

 *

The fire of longing chiseled

me with such grace

That what was once mere stone

emerged as burnished gold

 *

No fetters, no fears remained

no sense of self survived

A nameless prayer once adrift,

I’ve now become a benediction

 *

This soul was adorned with

such a great resplendence

That like a rose upon the breeze

I became its fragrant essence

 *

I erased every trace of myself,

to be abided wholly in you

Yesterday I was but a drop

Today I am the Ocean itself
