Shri Ashish Mulay

? The Grey Lights# 32 ?

☆ – “Ascending” – ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

Do you want to ascend from your pit?

then be ready for a wild Ride

A ride where you can not really Hide ..

Think of Ascending as a War

A war against Outsiders

where you get Scars from Insiders ..

A war that hurts you bad

stabs that come to the Heart

and opinions that cut you Apart ..

You have to Kill too

kill the emotions of unwise Dears

and in solitude drink own Tears ..

You have to Face too

face the society and it’s Trials

but escape through nude Aisles ..

Can you become calculated savage?

If you can, Then the way is ascending

If un-calculated, Be sure of descending ..

Finally old you have to Surrender

Surrender in the arms of Destiny

There you realise a real Sanctity ..

And

You come out of the Pit

Where hugs You a nude savage Beauty

Fortuna is the name of that primal Nudity…

?~ Insatiable Cravings…  ~??

?

The more you see the world,

The more you understand it,

More you know the world,

More you unravel the truth…

*

Insatiable thirst is this world,

More it quenches the thirst,

More it accentuates it further…

But I remained an exception

*

Height of Trishna –the cravings

has been decreasing, ever since…

A treasure of contended world

is being created deep inside me..!

?~ Date of Return…  ~??

(Everything but karma

has an expiration date)

?

O’ Mankind! Be it known that

Every soul has a date of return

Written in the invisible letters.

It’s bound to leave your body

Someday, to its heavenly abode…!

*

Must you realise this eternal Truth,

The wagon called this human body

has to return to its place of origin on a

particular day at a particular moment.

*

Make an effort to realise this Truth

Be prepared to reach the final abode,

before the body starts its own journey.

Drop your temporal pursuits resolutely

Lest they haunt you for yet another birth

*

Hence, keep sublimating your intellect

and develop the power of discrimination

To merge with the Supreme Lord Himself..!

?~ Erase the Lines!…  ~??

Erase…!

Just rub off all these lines

drawn  on  the  land,  sky

or on the surface of the sea

Land  belongs  to  everyone,

So are the sky and even ocean…

What about the dividing lines?

They belong to none, but they

are  so  ubiquitously  present

But, the credit of drawing lines

must not be granted to anybody..!

Lines are  ever  extending, as

They  are  deepening  further

While mankind is ever shrinking…

Listen!

Is there nobody who could stop

this senseless high-handedness

How can anyone claim God gifted

air,  sky, water or even the land…

Just erase  these  ominous  lines

even the ones drawn on the hand..!

? The Grey Lights# 31 ?

☆ – “Alive” – ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

Do not let your Feet shake

When world looks at you

Do not make your face weep smile

For success is not guilt for you

Walk in this valley of deads

but do not let your spirit die

They will mock you for being alive

but don’t listen to lifeless passerby

Do not be afraid of their shadows

Because They fear your inner light

Do not be afraid of their numbers

For They are not capable of Fight

Even if you die while walking path

Do not be touched by sorrows

Dead Eagle is still meaningful

for his feathers give flight to arrows

Heavens are not at the ends

They are when you are living

Hells are just below your Feet

so do not stop walking

Remember,

Beauty is of no use to corpse

and Treasures don’t fit in the grave

Both of them are for the alive

Because Fortune Favours the brave

English Literature – Poetry – ☆ Words …  on my heart’s paper boat ☆ – Hemant Bawankar ☆

Hemant Bawankar

☆ Words …  on my heart’s paper boat ☆

The mist

soft wind

a piece of sunshine

between the clouds

miles away

on foreign land

slips on

old city

old buildings

old forts, palaces

on the surface of the river

and on the lake

every afternoon

far away

up to where

goes my vision.

And then,

suddenly

words seem to flow,

on my heart’s paper boat

on

black road like river

far

on the turn

downhill

and

finally lost

by the lake

by the river

and

old city

old city lanes.

And then

suddenly shatters

earthy scent

of the homeland

in the entire

environment.

Words start

squirting

floating

and soaking

my heart’s paper boat

with words

to conscience

eyes

and

far on mountain slopes

a black river like roadsides

roofs of houses

and

house

where lives

a piece of my heart

under the shadow of

a piece of sun rays.

नीरव हो जाने में

समय नहीं लगता

पर नीरव से

उपसर्ग भर बदलने से

कितने बदल जाते हैं शब्द,

उनका अर्थ और

English Version by – Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi

? – Unwritten ‘Un’ Dictionary… ??

Listen-

It doesn’t take much

time to go from vivacious

chirping to  stark silence…

But,  centuries  go  by,

Or even it takes many ages

to bring festive liveliness

from sombre lifelessness,

Just imagine how many

words turn topsy-tervy

just by changing the prefix,

Rewriting their meaning and

creating an ‘un’written dictionary!
