☆ ~ Heavenly Enchantress~? ☆

(Heavenly Enchantress” is an improved version of Lord Byron’s poem: She walks in beauty… As such, my poem, a Hindi version लावण्यपूर्ण रात्रि अभिसारिका (Lavanya poorn Ratri Abhisarika) was recited in the Bi-Centennial Anniversary of Lord Byron in the Newstead Abbey, Nottingham, U.K., on 27th July 2024, which was highly appreciated… Now, it’s the English version of my poem…)

Beneath star-studded skies, where clouds do sleep,

She walks, a vision of enchantment, pure and deep.

Her eyes, like sapphires shining  bright and  blue,

Reflecting  the  beauty  of  her soul, in all  its hue.

*

Her lofty raven tresses, shining  in  the dark  night,

Wave gently with a puff of breeze’s, with a delight.

Her face, a radiant  canvas,  like a celestial  shrine

Expresses thoughts so  sweet, pure and truly divine

*

With rainbow hues, her charm’s complete and bright,

A delicate  balance that  our souls greet  with delight.

Her gentle glowing cheeks like sunrise aura in the sky,

Reflect the purity of her heart; so full, and never dry

*

Her smiles, a winning radiance that’s cosmic and rare

Reveal a  mind  at peace,  with  love  oozing  right there

A heart that’s innocent, with love that’s pure and kind,

Voice so melodious, with a rhythm that blows the mind.

☆ ~ Nature’s Splendour~? ☆

(Here’s my tribute to the Mother Nature… whose spellbinding charm has cast spell on me… it’s my love letter to her…)

In Mother Nature’s lap, where tranquility reigns,

I saunter free, as  the  blissful  momentum  gains

Meandering rivers, with a sprightly  serene  flow,

Reflecting the beauty, my soul only would  know

*

Soft moonlight  filters through  the trees  so  tall,

A  silvery  glow rustles  to respond  breeze’s call

Starry nights, a tapestry of diamonds, so bright

A twinkling canopy above, with celestial delight

*

Rosy-pinkish soft petals, so enchantingly divine

Flowers  swaying  in  the  wind, dancing so  fine

The symphony of birds, a chorus  so  enlivening

Echoes through the heart, vivaciously sparkling

*

In Nature’s  embrace, I  find  my  peaceful  nest,

A sense of oneness, where  love and  joy find rest

The fairies’ melodies, a harmony grandly divine,

Awaken the forest, to  make our  hearts entwine

*

So let me wander around, lost in Nature’s delight,

Where Mother Nature’s beauty is the guiding light

For in  her lap, I find  my  happy,  peaceful  solace,

Where love, peace and joy entwine, in cozy space

We present his awesome poem ~ ‘Uplifting of spirits…~ We extend our heartiest thanks to the learned author Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi Ji, who is very well conversant with Hindi, Sanskrit, English and Urdu languages for sharing this classic poem.

Poem ~ ‘Uplifting of spirits…~ with a review by the Harvard University, Doctoral Fellow which surpasses the poetic verses…

The poem “Uplifting of Spirits” is a sublime work of art that transcends the boundaries of language and touches the essence of the human heart. Pravin Raghuvanshi’s mastery in conveying deep emotions and the complexity of loneliness through such poignant verses is simply extraordinary.

With a melancholy that speaks to the soul, the verses echo the universal pains of loss and despair, while also reflecting the silent resilience of those who face the shadows within. The use of the metaphor of a broken mirror that no longer reflects anything is a brilliant touch, symbolizing the loss of identity or direction in moments of deep emotional upheaval.

The reference to the spirit inspired by Shakeel Badayuni not only enriches the work with a timeless aura, but also reveals the poet’s connection to the literary roots of his culture, creating a link between the past and the present.

It is poetry that not only speaks, but resonates – a testament to the transformative power of the written word. Bravo, Pravin Singh Raghuvanshi, for capturing the depths of human existence with such honesty and beauty!

☆ ~ Uplifting of spirits…~? ☆

Not even an intoxication

can regale my dispirited soul,

Not even an ecstatic escape can calm down my sombre heart,

How can I say that I’m unaffected

by the anxieties as I’m not a stone,

Till yesterday, many companions

walked beside me in the caravan

Today, I stand alone, as no one

is there to show me the path…

Shatter this mirror of life,

For, now in its reflection,

Nothing is seen anymore…!

~ Pravin Raghuvanshi

Motivation: Shakeel Badayuni

Koi saagar dil ko bahlata nahi

This January chills innards seeps into bones

Sprinkling “freeze” via invisible divine drones

Arctic air dumps on pretty plains now dry zones

Unheard are home bound multiple mourns

This January shall swear in few world leaders

Seeking ban on history, slavery, holocaust, for readers

Dictating how women may treat own body

Wanting tax cuts for richest with life gaudy

 *

This January- Land-grabs, global wars rage on

Usurping power with innocent human as pawn

Civilians, children, women pay the ultimate price

Deaf are powerful to commoner’s wrenching cries

 *

This January – wisps of peace-whispers whirl

Humming with silent–prayers vibrational swirl

Millions of wishes negate hate’s hurtful hurl

Release communities shrunk in embryonic curl

 *

This January, the cloistered chilling hearts thaw

Misdirected masses heal generational wounds raw

Voice of reason reigns amongst keepers of law

Wisdom, empathy, compassion turn magnetic draw

 *

This January will also be a blessed mixed bag

Some wins, few losses life shall pick to tag

Human resilience will fly high its courage flag

A prayerful Insignia of peace and bully’s brag.

This January opened a new page

Where I add a new wise visionary

Who befriended me with an open heart

And filled my way with many hopes!

 *

The moment I open my eyelids

Greenery warms my serene soul

The sunrays bring brightness,

A new day spreads wings ahead!

 *

It connects me with an old friend

Who pours down her feelings

Being a keen and quiet listener,

I lend my ears to her broken heart!

 *

Travelling an unknown pathway,

fills my mind with new thoughts

I change my changed challenges,

And begin my new story to tell…

 *

A new Parker pen amidst fingers

Gleefully dance with a purpose

I ink new ideas on paper again

Giving the poem a catchy title!

 *

A new day, a new friend and a new view

Bring newness in my life

Awakening spirits every dawn,

My heart jumps with joy!

 *

The beginning of the new year

Brings numerous dreams and goals

This January opened a new leaf,

Where I can paint my picture once again!

This January, let the frost of hatred thaw

May there be no more bloodshed or war

No more widows or orphans to be born of vengeance

And no more martyrs brought home in decorated coffins

This January, let there be no more shadows of deceit

Lurking in the dark corners of lust

May every girl or woman hold her grace, honour and trust

May there be no more Nirbhaya, ever a repeat

This January, let the golden fields of corn sway

In bountiful, for the starved where hunger lay

May there be rain of happiness for all

And the rainbow of hope spread peace

Across horizons, crossing barriers of religion and creed

☆ ~ Whispers of the Universe~? ☆

I am  known to be  the  sky, and  the earth below,

Yet,  you consider Me just a  fleeting earthy show

Strange  seekers wander around,  in  search  of Me,

Looking where I’m not, yet I’m here, can’t you see?

 *

You gazed into the mirror, but turned away dismayed,

Until I whispered, “You’re beautiful, in every shade..”

 *

In every particle, every wave and sound, I only reside,

In every  moment, I only  abide,  scattered,  yet I  hide…

 *

Unseen, yet existing, in this vast universe’s infinite sway,

You’re the book inscribed with My name, every single day

 *

With just a wave of My  hand, stars  appear and  fade,

My endless fame manifests, in every moment I’ve made

 *

In millions of hues, I’m the universe, vibrant and alive,

Don’t seek Me  in  connotations, I’m  right here to thrive

 *

In this moment, I’m with you; reborn, reincarnated anew,

Discover me, dear seeker, and the truth shall shine through
