☆ ~ Zestful Rain  ~? ☆

The long-awaited melodious

symphony  of  the

first rain has arrived with

its celestial petrichor…

*

Raindrops are greetings,

like nature’s confetti

Making environment lively

like sound of zither…

*

Dancing rain, makes you

alive with cozy vibes

Rainy days are inviting you

for the fun and frolic

*

Embrace the ever bewitching

beauty of  the first rain,

With its call for extra hugs

and  cuddles, galore…

*

Let  the  rain  wash  away

all the worries, with its

zestfull  humming drops

falling from the sky…

*

It makes me feel as if

an ecstatic cloud has

bumped into your anklet,

making it chime nimbly..!

☆ – “My Blood ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

My sons and daughters

don’t fail this blade

nor the sophistication of its hilt

for it’s born of tears and service

 *

be of a service to the species

do the ‘khidmat’ as they say

for it will only bring you contentment

not the gold or the blood or a wine

 *

oh you my firstborn

be the first in service

you are just the representative

of your equal siblings

 *

what great can we do

if not united as single heart

heart full of love and tears

heart full of greatness and values

though the blood binds us

thought merges us

into a single blade of spear

which belongs to all humankind

☆ ~Haunting Memories ~? ☆

Piles of decrepit old letters just

tumbled  out  of  the  closet…

Many of those old  healed wounds

started  bleeding once again…

 *

The place where my mother

would sit and wait for me…

Moment, that mound was removed

a treasure was found there…

 *

It’s possible  that even my village

folks won’t recognize me now

In the childhood itself I left home

to accomplish my life dreams…

 *

O soil of my village, I owe

my  very  existence  to  you…

You  only  are  the  sole  writer

of   my  resolute  destiny…

 *

There’s  a  perennial  fear

lurking  in my  mind that

From any house your memory

may surface to ambush me…

☆ – “Motivation ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

Bad, outrageous or impudent

call them anything you want

but do not call them ugly

For She is their mother

Though I am the father of my words

 *

like fire ignites the wick

and the lamp gives the light

though the shine is of lamp

but with different fire it is born

she is that fire

 *

like a fragrance is carried

by the might of wind

and wind becomes a fragrant breeze

by the power of tiny flower

she is that flower

I am that passionate wind

that she makes to fragrant breeze

I am that wick soaked in agony

she lightens me to a lamp

I am just a man

she gives me meaning….

☆ ~Lonesome Heart…  ~? ☆

O’ Dear! Must you play the

sombre songs of the love now,

The pervading tonality of mood

isn’t in resonance with the life

*

I do agree that I couldn’t make

the land bloomingly prosper

Atleast I removed the thorns,

whichever way I passed by

*

I’ve no regrets for my total

devastation caused by you

I appreciate that atleast you

remained faithful to someone

*

Infact, you are the one who’s truly

responsible for my ruination,

But it’d be much better if someone

else gets blamed to save you

*

Actually, for no rhyme or reason

the heart kept crying desolately

But it made your memory to be the

scapegoat for its forlorn charade!

Shri Ashish Mulay

?The Grey Lights# 50 ?

☆ – “Wealthy ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

many claim to claim her

very few have understood her

some count her as money

fenced land is someone’s fancy

one moment she is there

in the next she’s gone

in the heads of doers

she rings like a song

 *

but having her

is being wealthy

a bold statement

made to the society

 *

bolder than being beggar

for beggar says of having nothing

and asks to give him

but the wealthy says of having everything

and tells to take all from him

It is not easy to leave shame

to be a beggar on roadside

but It is even harder to leave fear

and have ‘Her’ by your side
