☆ I heard that… ?

I’ve heard people keep looking at

her with wide eyed-amazement

So let’s stay in her town for a

few days more and behold her…

*

I’ve heard the moon keeps seeing her

enviously through out the night

Stars too descend down from the

sky to  the earth to behold  her…

*

I’ve  heard  that she is extremely

fond  of listening to the poetry

So let’s also  show her the miracles

of our excellent poetic skills…

*

I’ve heard that when she speaks,

flowers fall from her mouth

If this is the case then let’s talk

to her and see it for ourselves…

*

I’ve heard she’s very passionate

about the profound tragedies,

So let’s ruin ourselves totally

and be with her for some time…

☆ Spirited Merriment?

You must speak your heart out

but thoughtfully and cautiously,

Can the harsh sun ever comprehend the

serenity of the lovelorn moonlight..!

*

Stories of the rueful separation,

talks of pain are the things of past

If you’ve come out of the house, then

must relish the merriment around..!

मुझको तो दर्द-ए-दिल का

मज़ा याद आ गया-

तुम क्यों हुए उदास

तुम्हें क्या याद आ गया…

☆☆

Remembered the bliss filled

Anguish of my lovelorn heart

Why did you become sad

Did you also miss something

कहने को जिंदगी थी

बहुत मुख़्तसर मगर

कुछ यूँ बसर हुई कि

खुदा याद आ गया…

Had a life so to say

Though much ephemeral

Passed in such away that

रंजोगम तो तमाम मिट गए मगर

तेरा एहसास रह ही गया,

Your Feelings

yet the feeling still remains,

Happy that atleast something of

yours is still left inside me…!

Unchanged Stories ☆

वक्त ने कई ज़ख्म भर दिए,

यादें भी अब कम खलती हैं,

Time has healed many a wound,

Memories are also scarce now…

But when do stories ever change by

settling of dust on the books…!

☆ – “Poet’s Curse ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

I see a pot

made of a clay

Oh the potter

how do you play?

while shaping its clay

was your heart whining

or is it oven’s heart

that was burning

do you have any meaning?

oh god made of words

do words mean anything?

or situation is everything?

if they mean anything

if you are something

then let these words do

what none can do

let these words be reality

as these have made you

where commons can’t reach

let these words make through

hammer is the word

that I throw from head to

the pot that doesn’t

deserve a name too

arrow is the word

that I shoot from heart to

the shape of clay

that is mimicking you too

noose is the word

that I throw from fingers to

a death spreading life

none can raise their fingers to

in realm of reality

let these words be true

let that crooked pot feel

it’s made up of clay too…

☆ Desirelessness…?

I’m traveling faster than the speed of light;

Yes, I’m flying at the speed of mind, astrally

Totally weightless, bereft of mortal burdens…

Detached from the worldly desires & longings…

Where there exists no yearnings, no cravings..!

*

No happiness, no sorrows, no penury, no pains,

Only I am are there… Yes, me alone, only me..!

It seems that today every wish will be fulfilled,

But I’m in a state of absolute desirelessness,

Now look at the fun, today there is no wish left..!

☆ – “Illusions ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

longing never ends

and reality never delivers

illusion births illusion

like the constant renewals

 *

sea of words

sees waves of illusions

sails the life

through the ships of delusions

 *

waves rise in meaning

and collapse in jokes

in waters of eyes

poor reality chokes

Mir’s bed is peaceful

for he never dreams

to queen of illusions

his love never cease

☆ Sand of Time…?

It’s not that I have changed

grossly ever since you left

I am still the very same

ever since you departed..

*

If you think I am wrong,

then also you’re totally right,

Because you always happened

to be correct, customarily…

*

As such, I’ve a genetic lineage

with the dynasty of pain..

Incidentally, you also did

accentuate it, drastically…

*

I too want to celebrate the

life to its fullest extent…

But the sand of time is slipping

too fast through my hand..!

☆ My Abode…?

Oh, No! I can never think of leaving this house ever

But, I don’t either want to live in a dwelling this old

*

Though our dignity is intact in this abode; but then,

I can never think of trading my self-esteem either

*

With borrowed feet, hands and head of someone,

No! Never can I even think of increasing my height

*

I’d rather starve than accepting alms from anyone

No! I don’t need any beguiled benevolence from you

*

O’ Lord! If you gave eyes, then give me sights to behold,

How long can I remain staring at the same walls..!
