☆ – “Illusions ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

longing never ends

and reality never delivers

illusion births illusion

like the constant renewals

 *

sea of words

sees waves of illusions

sails the life

through the ships of delusions

 *

waves rise in meaning

and collapse in jokes

in waters of eyes

poor reality chokes

Mir’s bed is peaceful

for he never dreams

to queen of illusions

his love never cease

☆ Sand of Time…?

It’s not that I have changed

grossly ever since you left

I am still the very same

ever since you departed..

*

If you think I am wrong,

then also you’re totally right,

Because you always happened

to be correct, customarily…

*

As such, I’ve a genetic lineage

with the dynasty of pain..

Incidentally, you also did

accentuate it, drastically…

*

I too want to celebrate the

life to its fullest extent…

But the sand of time is slipping

too fast through my hand..!

☆ My Abode…?

Oh, No! I can never think of leaving this house ever

But, I don’t either want to live in a dwelling this old

*

Though our dignity is intact in this abode; but then,

I can never think of trading my self-esteem either

*

With borrowed feet, hands and head of someone,

No! Never can I even think of increasing my height

*

I’d rather starve than accepting alms from anyone

No! I don’t need any beguiled benevolence from you

*

O’ Lord! If you gave eyes, then give me sights to behold,

How long can I remain staring at the same walls..!

☆ –Things ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

Things you haven’t got

are the strings

that make you move

and the things you have got

are the wings that lift you

 *

things will be there

like a forever glue

be detached

or become a thing too

when a thing is missed

crying is what children do

but in the next moment

find something else to do

 *

be the child of destiny

and things won’t affect you

like a child plays in a clay

play with the earth, will you?

☆ Adieu…?

Always keep your passion alive at

the forefront of your journey

Do look ignorant but you must

have the news of the entire town…

*

Even if your eyes are set on the sky,

Keep your feet firmly on ground

Let anyone decide the matter, but you

must keep your point forcefully…

*

Your eyes keep staring at me constantly

You must keep an eye on your eyes…

Who knows when’ll it be time to leave

You must be ready for final adieu..!

Who could laugh together

English Literature – Poetry ☆ The Grey Lights# 44 – “Desert Rose…” ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay ☆

Shri Ashish Mulay

? The Grey Lights# 44 ?

☆ –Desert Rose” ☆ Shri Ashish Mulay

(Based on My Persian Adventure)

See the rose

blooming in the desert

stands speechless beauty

in the noise of bigot

like the island of hope

in the sea of despair

like the face of crescent

in the desert’s glare

When cloud sees her

with his heart

oh dear his decorum

just falls apart

but what a passing cloud

could possibly do

can’t soak the desert

even if he wishes to

few tears he can shed

words that give the shade

put little pause on her endless search

give touch that touches without touch

☆ Eternal Longings (The Bliss of English Shayari) # 2 ?

(Some couplets)

Artfully Wily

Only a glance  of  your true friend,

knows you thoroughly,  inside out…

Otherwise  even  sworn  enemies

mask their pretty  faces guilefully..!

Effulgent Sun

Even when  dejected, don’t

ever be the dusking Sun…

Life is like the radiant Sun

Keep  shining  resplendently…!

☆☆☆☆

Matchless Ailment

Neither does exist any  cure

Nor is  there  any  remedy…

O’ ailment of love! Matching you

nothing has ever existed..!

Predicaments

Have seen so many predicaments

Through the eyes of the times…

Moments had committed mistake

But the centuries got punished..!

☆ Your Memories… ?

Somewhere the moon got lost on the way,

Even the moonlight also got faded away

I’m a lamp, that too, an extinguished one

Then, how come my night shone so brightly

*

The genesis of my story was under the

shade of your gleaming divine eyes

You were supposed to be awake with me,

then, how come you fell asleep so quickly…

*

Even if we met, wasn’t it meaningless

with same distances, same separation?

Neither could I take a step forward nor

did your hesitation ever go away..!

*

From your hand to my lips exists the same

everlasting unquenchable mystic thirst

The liquor intended for me got mysteriously

spilled so haplessly, somewhere on the way…

*

Never ever my desperate attempts to

forget you could ever materialise

Like the branches of rose, your memories

kept swaying, whenever the wind blew..!
