☆ Fear ☆

I hear her shower

A million pricking words

All carefully aimed at me

From the bow of her heart-

Some pass on

From across my ears

Without spilling a single drop

Of my thin red blood,

Some pierce me

In my supple chest

Going deeply through my heart

While the others

Remain in its chamber

Like slow poison,

Killing me little by little!

I don’t retaliate

For I can’t see blood;

I silently let the hurt come out

Through the waterfall of my eyes.

Still unsatisfied,

She tries to knock me down.

I simply get up

And smile like a child,

Seeing me unaffected,

She goes back,

Hurt and defeated.
