Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi, NM

(Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi —an ex Naval Officer, possesses a multifaceted personality. He served as a Senior Advisor in prestigious Supercomputer organisation C-DAC, Pune. He was involved in various Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing projects of national and international repute. He has got a long experience in the field of ‘Natural Language Processing’, especially, in the domain of Machine Translation. He has taken the mantle of translating the timeless beauties of Indian literature upon himself so that it reaches across the globe. He has also undertaken translation work for Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, which was highly appreciated by him. He is also a member of ‘Bombay Film Writer Association’.

~ Dilemma… ~

The deer was mesmerized,

gazing at its own reflection in the water

The infatuation with the self grew so intense that

all awareness of the surroundings faded away…

The deer lost all sense of caution

Suddenly—

a silent lethal leap,

and the deer’s neck was caught in the lion’s jaws

The reflection vanished from the water…

I do not know what has come over me—

the deer begins to look like a human,

and in place of the lion,

I see the jaws of Time

I am trapped in a dilemma—

is this merely an illusion of sight, or

has the truth finally begun to reveal itself?

ऊहापोह

☆

हिरण जल में अपनी ही छवि निहारने में मोहित था

‘मैं’ का आकर्षण इतना प्रबल हुआ

कि आसपास का भान जाता रहा

और चेतना, स्वयं से ही कट गई

अकस्मात—

दबे पाँव एक लम्बी छलांग

और हिरण की गरदन

शेर के जबड़ों में समा गई

जल की परछाई उसी क्षण अदृश्य हो गई

न जाने क्या हुआ है मुझे—

हिरण की जगह मनुष्य दिखने लगा

और शेर की जगह

काल के जबड़े

ऊहापोह में हूँ—

यह दृष्टि भ्रम है

या फिर

सत्य अब स्पष्ट होने लगा है?
