पद्यानुवाद – प्रो चित्र भूषण श्रीवास्तव ‘विदग्ध’

प्रथम अध्याय

अर्जुनविषादयोग

( दोनों सेनाओं के प्रधान शूरवीरों की गणना और सामर्थ्य का कथन )

( अर्जुन द्वारा सेना-निरीक्षण का प्रसंग )

योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागताः ।

धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षवः ।।23।।

दुष्ट बुद्धि धृतराष्ट्र के प्रिय जो तथा सहाय

यहां युद्ध का मन बना लड़ने को जो आये।।23।।

भावार्थ :  दुर्बुद्धि दुर्योधन का युद्ध में हित चाहने वाले जो-जो ये राजा लोग इस सेना में आए हैं, इन युद्ध करने वालों को मैं देखूँगा॥23॥

 

For I desire to observe those who are assembled here to fight, wishing to please in battle Duryodhana, the evil-minded ।।23।।
