Saw my pulse, when unwell

Said the Hakim, laughingly

Go to him who’s is medicine

for your each n every ailment..!

☆☆☆☆☆

Wish I could also learn the

art of telling sweet lies…

Not sure how many people the

bitter truth has snatched from me…!

☆☆☆☆☆

O’ my heart! Let’s get up,

and smile again, today…

Let’s get a new wound

and forget it by laughingh…!

☆☆☆☆☆

Reality only has

given me pain,

Dreams are beautiful

even today…!

We present his awesome poem Taboos We extend our heartiest thanks to the learned author Captain Pravin Raghuvanshi Ji, who is very well conversant with Hindi, Sanskrit,  English and Urdu languages for sharing this classic poem.

☆ Taboos…?

Kept churning the whole life

As the time passed away in resolving

dilemma of defining sins and good deeds,

Taboos kept shutting the doors…

Though it was just at a handshake, but

that could never be gotten lifelong,

At each step the noose kept tightening,

Taboos kept shutting the door…

Infinite yearnings, countless curiosities,

Kept reincarnating unresolved, and

perished too uncomprehended,

Taboos kept shutting the door…

Limited lifespan, Endless desires

Previous births, sagas of reincarnation

Kept taking away the life, as ever

Taboos kept shutting the door…

Life revolves around the breath

As life resides in every breath, but

It kept suffocating on each breath,

Taboos kept shutting the door…

Keep discarding the unwanted

Life the life you ever wanted,

The life remained hidden in the flint,

Taboos kept shutting the door…!

What is the night,

just ask me,

You just sleep

and it’s morning…

☆☆☆☆☆

If you desire, I’m willing

to give my eyes to them,

but people ask for the

dreams of my eyes…

☆☆☆☆☆

How can I just call her

unfaithful now itself,

It’s a matter of destination,

why to comment while enroute…!

☆☆☆☆☆

The burning sun said proudly,

Is there anyone like me…

Then a small lamp said,

We’ll see when it is evening!

☆ They begin to say a lot…!?

When the love blossoming

      in starry night

Starts to fade away

      in the light…,

Oh! They begin to say a lot…!

When the shattered words

      Find the meaning

And, they start flowing

      from the eyes…

Oh! They begin to say a lot…!

When those burnt

      pieces of the letter

Rather than turning into ash

      start to burn the heart

Oh! They begin to say a lot…!

When scattered pages of the

      life start flying away

Slipping away from

      the shivering hands…

Oh! They begin to say a lot…!

He too was silent

      and  me too silent,

When the ever chirping

      lips get sewn,

Oh! They begin to say a lot…!

(This poem is dedicated to a three-year-old Syrian boy ‘Aylan’ who represents all children who left this world under shadows of war. The dead body of ‘Aylan’ was found unattended on the beach of Turkey on 2nd September 2015. The world will forget him one day, but, one cannot forget the questions that he left behind him. The Hindi and German Version of this poem is also available.)

☆ Aylan  ☆

The calm

sea shore

and he

calm, serene, innocent

Aylan

rolled inverted,

No…. no…

forcibly laid down

by the sea.

He does not know

how he reached on

the deserted beach.

How he missed

fingers of daddy.

Leaving the world

and everyone

in deep sorrow.

He left his homeland

with parents

to see and experience

the new world,

golden world

in the shadow of parents

to play

with new friends

in a new country

in new surroundings

with new friends

with elder brother

where,

he will not hear

any gunshots

anyone’s screams.

He will be able to hear

only and only

birds’ chirping sounds

children’s laughter.

Children!

Whether they are

of any colour,

of any religion.

Because,

he does not know

and

does not want to know

that –

What is a country?

What are the borders of the country?

What is a citizen?

What is citizenship?

What is a refuge?

What is a refugee?

What is terrorism?

What is a terrorist?

He just knows it

that

the earth is one

the sun is one

and

the moon is also one

and

these all are together

for the entire world.

There are so many human beings

but,

the humanity is one.

He does not know

why his father was taking them

to another world

in the dark

across the sea.

Maybe,

there,

he will not hear

any gunshots

any cries.

But,

perhaps

the sea did not like it.

The sea was angry

and began to throw them

vigorously

high

very high

in the dark

he was very afraid of the water

and

did not see anything in the dark.

He did not see his home,

even mom,

brother and dad too.

Maybe,

he was the youngest

and

lighter than all.

Hence,

high-rise waves of the sea

quietly put him to sleep

on the beach

enough,

………. now dad will be here soon!

? English translation of Urdu poetry couplets of  Anonymous litterateur of Social Media# 107 ?

You feel too proud that you’ve

too many people loving you

And me; that no one can

ever love you like me…!

☆☆☆☆☆

Often the same lamps

burn our hands,

That we keep protecting

from the wind…!

☆☆☆☆☆

Face, probably, you may find

ever better than mine, but…

When it comes to the heart,

tell me, what will you do…!

☆☆☆☆☆

How selfish are these

memories of yours…

They just keep visiting

whenever they feel like…!
