Even among animals, there’s

struggle, skirmish and battles

Struggle for survival, for food,

for protection of dominance,

For territory, to attract a mate,

But animals never unleashed bombs,

Never launched missiles,

never destroyed nature,

Never reduced the earth to ashes.

You could say – they’re incapable,

Lacking the intelligence to do so…

But, these brainless learned the

art of building intricate nests,

These ignorant planted seeds

to keep nature green and alive

The dimwits took care of others’ eggs,

Gave life to other species too,

The ignorant faced challenges together,

As a community, they overcame crises.

Listen, you wise ones, the history

of life unambiguously says,

Being half-witted is better

than being sinisterly wicked…!

When clothing the bare,

If boastful tone so seeps

When aiding the deprived,

a fake gleam does shine,

Then know for sure that

you’re not so truly divine

 *

For true service is humble,

quiet, gracious and amiable,

No pomp and show, just

a gentle hand so charitable

* 

Help must be secretly given,

with no ostentatious claim,

True charity’s beauty lies in

its quietness, devoid of fame

* 

Let kindness be the badge,

not a hollow public display,

For in the divine humility,

true service finds its way

A cosmic artist’s stroke

defined my fate,

A line between existence

and an endless wait

He handed me the brush,

and I painted words,

Transforming the line,

where meaning blurred

*

The line became a boundary,

impregnable and true,

Yet in the words, a new world

order broke through

*

Amazed Cosmic Artist blessed,

as He saw my actions bold,

Realizing realms beyond the art,

for myriad stories to be told

the bygone era’s rage,

Echoes of endearment,

trapped in a tender cage

Oh, the fleeting moments

like autumn’s sigh,

Why do you vanish,

leaving tears to dry?

In twilight’s hush, where

shadows softly fall,

My heart doth ache, with

memories of it all

 *

The whispers of the

past, a gentle breeze,

That stirs the embers

of love, with so ease

 *

Oh, fairest days, why d’you

fly away from me?

Leaving me with the nostalgic

memories, so wild and free

 *

Yet, in my mystic dreams,

thy lovely form shines,

A radiant escort, that guides me

A cosmic claim, so divine and complete

But have you seen your own conduct

and flaws through all the years?

Do you ever peep in your own heart,

occasionally, even  by  a mistake?

Your words sound so grand,

but your actions are blasphemous,

Do you live what you preach,

or just pretend to be blessed?

You always speak of unity,

of oneness and harmony,

But do your sacrilegious deeds

reflect the truth of the humanity?

*

You say you are Brahma…

you are the Absolute…

But do your shadows align

with the divine cosmic ways?

Or do you hide behind a veil

of conceit and inflated ego,

And ignore the whispers of

your own heart’s uncanny divide?
