? ~ Unmasked & Bare… ??

You speak in veils of deceit,

a truth in disguise,

Yet your truth stands bare—

a lie the light denies

I’d say—

live as you feel,

let your soul

shine unfiltered,

clear as glass

For purity’s primal form

draws beauty near—

like nature’s splendour,

wild and free,

like the innocent gaze

of a newborn,

bare as the first breath…!

English Literature – Poetry ☆ Culture and Heritage… ☆ Hemant Bawankar ☆

Hemant Bawankar

(This poem has been cited from my book The Variegated Life of Emotional Hearts”.)

☆ Culture and Heritage… ☆ Hemant Bawankar ☆

Today,

I remember

stories heard from grandma.

Stories of kings, queens,

princes, princesses,

fairies

and

stories of Panchtantra1.

I feel that

the heritage

is

not only stories

but

I have been given

rich heritage of culture

as a debt to me.

I have to pass on

to the next generation.

I am amazed

with our culture

our festivals,

and

our heritage.

However,

sometimes

why I am distracted

with some unanswered questions?

Why

those seven rounds

around fire

that garland

and

relationship made

due to these

changes,

the chemistry of relationship?

Why works

the telepathy

when we live

miles away even?

Why do we take fast?

Fasts of

Karwa Chauth2

or

Kaajal Teej2

and

the Vat Savitri2?

I do not know?

Today,

how much Satyawan3 is ‘Satywan’4?

and

how much Savitri3 is ‘Sati’5?

Yama6 is having

how much power?

And

where is the culture going?

Still

I’ll pass on

grandma’s heritage

her precious stories.

I will extend

her heritage

to my generation

to my next generation

in heritage.

  1. Panchtantra – Panchtantra is collection of five books of stories written by Pandit Vishnu Sharma in Sanskrit.
  2. Karwa Chauth, Kajal Teej and Vat Savitri – Name of fasts taken by married women having religious stories in the background.
  3. Satyawaan and Savitri – Characters of story narrated in Vana Parva in Mahabharata.
  4. Satyawan – The person who always speak truth.
  5. Sati –An ancient and obsolete Indian tradition of the immolation of a widow on her husband’s funeral pyre.
  6. Yama – The lord of death.

? ~ Delusionary Chutzpah… ??

Sayeth the Lord in my last astral interaction
“When the world itself is just a fleeting delusion,
*
Then what makes you feel you’re an exception
Knowing well that your shell is your best abode
*
Why d’you keep venturing out to temporal realms
Where even screaming silences turn their deaf ears
*
Expressed love is evanescent and so is its staked claims
Nor wud shadow accompany in your epic journey!”
*
“Yes my Lord! May your glories always remain sung
Won’t allow glittering world to upstage my odyssey!”

? ~ Longing for Union… ??

One day, God gave the right to choose

heart’s own love—its preferred musing

The sun embraced its radiant fire,

The ravishing moon adorned itself

with millions of twinkling stars

The rivers sought to merge with

the deep ocean’s fond embrace

Raindrops clung to clouds

as they longed to move…

The breeze happily chased the

celestial fragrance all-around…

And finally, the love—

The love clasped longing

in its fullest bloom for union…!

English Literature – Poetry ☆ An expectation… ☆ Shri B.G.Jain ☆

Shri B.G.Jain

? ~ An expectation… ? Shri B.G.Jain ?

(The inspiration of this poem is the backsight showing mirror on each and every two and four wheeler vehicle. It is the warning that the persons you have left behind, or gone back from you, are not too far, they may struck anytime.)

I was in a very good service & was holding very respectable post

And use tone surrounded by people

Sometime I was guest,

Sometime I was host,

Though I keep very good health and capability

Attaining at the age of sixty

Retirement for me was nothing but penalty.

Now nobody turns to me

For their work or mine

Now when I am in need of ten

I have only nine.

I am being compelled to live a lonely life

Pension, tension and my company

Is only my wife

Though I have very good eyesight and vision

I wear glasses for a great reason

That I read on the glass of my scooter that

The objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

? ~ The Timeless One… ??

Worlds unfurl like petals of dawn

Worlds crumble to whispers of dust

From the womb of ashes

—creation rises afresh

Birth’s first breath, death’s final sigh

The soul drifts through

doors uncounted, unseen

All unfolds beneath

an unblinking gaze

Is it the Seer—

Or the vision that dwells

within His eyes

Or a witness older than

the gods themselves

Not He

Not His vision

Then who treads unscarred

Through the endless

corridors of forever

Who… is this Timeless One?

? ~ The Price of Smile… ??

This habit of my smiling

proved far too dear—

They set me aside and forgot

salt of my silent tears

I donned the mask to hide

the excruciating ache,

My fragile smile that

no mirror could break

 *

They saw only the glow

that my smile gave,

Not the somber heart

that cried in its cave

 *

In solitude, I searched

for a tender hand,

For a voice —that my

soul would understand

 *

But hope, like a mirage,

vanished from the sight,

Leaving me stranded in

the single, lonely light..!

? ~ Cobweb of Deceit… ??

He wove a blinding web of

deceit with such finesse,

That I had no choice but to

yield to his lie’s caress

His words were so velvety,

his smiles pure  gold,

Yet he masked the frost

of a heart grown cold

*

Each glance was a promise,

each touch a pure vow,

And I—too blinded—never

questioned why and how

The truth lay shrouded

in sinister shadows deep,

While I danced in dreams

That I could never keep

 *

Unaware, silk can strangle

as much as it charms,

And I awoke—alone—in

the spider’s deadly arms..!

? ~ Echoes of the Eternity… ??

In the forgotten memory lanes

invisible shadows softly sway

Bittersweet whispers, render a

soulful serenade, days after day

*

As the universe unravels the

secrets of love that’s so true

A bond that transcends beyond

the limits, shining through

*

Perhaps in another lifetime our

paths will cross once more

And we’ll dance under starry

skies with serenity, we adore

*

Until then let our love shine

as sparks of the divine light

A bright flame keeps guiding

us through the endless night

? ~ Beyond the Masks… ??

In the mystic caverns,

So deep and wide,

A latent power stirs,

where secrets reside

Hidden from the world’s

intrusive  gaze,

A  truth lies, veiled in

in frozen, silent ways…

 *

The world beholds but

a masked disguise,

Unaware of truths, in

those  hidden  eyes

 *

In nocturnal gloom, when

 tears fall like rain,

A fierce scrutiny rages,

through  joy and pain

 *

Yet, amidst the volcano’s

chaotic  fiery care,

A paradoxical calm aspires

silently once more

 *

A thousand faces born of

the artifice and guile,

Transform passion’s fire,

to a whimpering smile

*

From a hidden realms,

a form appears,

Bearing a fleeting duet,

through joyous tears

 *

A mystic dance of light

and darkness entwines

Two souls in union, in

fleeting, mortal shrines

Once more, the stark

darkness beckons near,

An inscrutable abyss,

that draws us in fear

 *

Into  the  same  familiar

cycle, we’re  bound,

A serpentine path, where

shadows spin around
