Nights drift by, shrouded in the memory’s haze

Winters of silence to summers of longing’s daze

*

Seasons ebb and flow, yet the old pain remains

Rains wash over, but the deep stains bring pains

*

From the frayed threads of memory, a spell’s spun

Memories tremble, whispers of stories yet undone

*

Your gentle hands unravel words, a quizzical gaze

I stitch throbbing heartbeats in love’s mystic maze

*

Each seam a vow, each silence a promise sealed

Holding it until the all the deep wounds healed

*

When memory’s last strand slips into endless night

I’ll cast away my façade, taking soul’s final flight

*

In eternal slumber, I’ll eventually find my final rest

Unburdened, cradled, forever in love’s sweet nest

Now darkness reigns, in silence alone

Those endearing chatter that had no end,

Now lies silent as the echoes suspend…

I chase a silence that steals my sleep

A restless ache wriggles in my chest

A truth I know but can never accept

*

My pulse betrays yet holds me near

As a hollow reverberating echo I hear

*

Alive without you —in a cruel disguise

A scar concealed from the waking eyes

*

Each heartbeat burns relentlessy slow

Your absence enrages the life, I know

*

I move out but the dreams take flight

As they hide in shadows of the night

*

Your soul still lingers on these walls

A ghost answers, whenever love calls

*

My voice returns in vain clearly defined

fragrant gust of blustery wind

Can anyone ever alter the course

of a turbulent raging river

At every step my guide misled my

caravan, turning into a plunderer

Can anyone mislead path of someone

Whom destination itself guides

*

The yachtsman deserted my boat on

pretext of some impending storm

Can anyone sink the boat of someone

who is an indomitable braveheart

*

One who has a craving for the liquor

searches fiercely for the tavern

Can intoxication of wine ever lure

the one who’s inebriated with life

*

People shed their life and morality

chasing love and worldly beauty

Can any human beauty entice the one

deeply enamored with divine love

*

Everyone is mortally scared in

this world of dreadful fears

Can worldly fear ever touch the one

who fears none but his conscience

Each night parents set alarms
rising before the dawn
to rouse their children—
one for school another for college
another already for work…

* 

Wake them a few minutes early
and discontent erupts aloud
the children scowl in protest
voices sharp with refusal
the parents only smile…

 *

“It is childhood still
in time they will know
one day they shall see
when the years have turned
and wisdom has spoken”

 *

But time passes quietly
the children ascend higher
climb ladders of ambition
touch distant dazzling heights
and proclaim with pride

 *

“I am self-made” they cry
forgetting the hidden hands
forgetting the silent watch
forgetting the patient love
that once raised them high

*

How striking the likeness
of parents and the Divine
for God too awakens us
stirs the soul to struggle
presses courage within…

* 

He pours the nectar of hope
lays the ambrosia of resolve
waits patient for our return
sees beyond our triumphs
hears the silence of our soul

 *

Yet we crowned in conquest
forget the Giver above
forget the Watcher unseen
forget the Love eternal
and boast in blind pride

 *

“I am self-made” we shout
while the heavens remain still
while the silence endures
while the truth waits hidden
within forgotten hearts

 *

O’ dear, when shall we awaken
when will the soul grow
when shall this infancy end
when will the child mature
and wisdom at last be born..?

Rejoicing, having endless fun…

The wave doesn’t even know itself

that it’s mighty, all-powerful sea

Until it unearths this deeper truth,

It tosses up and down only, in glee

When it knows its truest self,

It lies in calm, collected peace,

Away from restless, raging storms,

In tranquil stillness sans caprice…

So is the man sent to walk this earth,

To seek the timeless, sacred key —

That he is not just a man alone,

But the God incarnate, infinitely..!

Spurning defeat with burning face

Wounded pride bears fractured light

A smoldering curse claws the night

Love’s fierce embers leap and flare

Vanquished scars, yet keep rising strong
